El Grito de la Muerte plot

Cowboy Gastón and his companion Loco arrive at a remote hacienda. Gastón carries a small carved statuette he got from someone in town and claims to be an archeology student. A young woman Maria tells him that this statuette is the symbol of a weeping lady, that it represents death and was carved by her old aunt Clotilde. The superstitious locals say that the ghost of Clotilde is wandering the hacienda and that several people have already died mysteriously.
