Dollhouse plot

After their five-year-old daughter Mei dies, Yoshie feels desperate and has little energy in her life. One day, she finds a doll that looks like Mei at an antique market and buys it. Shortly after, Yoshie and her husband Tadahiko have a second child, a girl named Mai. While they lovingly care for their new daughter, Yoshie loses interest in the doll. When Mai turns five, she starts playing with the doll and strange things start happening in their home.
