If at the start of the film a family moves into an old house, then as a viewer you of course already know that supernatural and disturbing things will take place in that house. I am susceptible to that. For such a haunted house movie. Well done. The way in which the mystery is revealed and the atmosphere that is evoked are then important. In both cases, Dead Girl sadly falls far short.

There is not much mystery. To keep the mystery mysterious and its unraveling fascinating, a different title would have been a better choice. Pretty stupid to strip a film of its mysterious aspect in advance. The only question that remains at the start is whose dead bride it could be. I will tell you in advance that the answer to that question is not interesting.

Dead Bride isn't exactly a movie of surprises. It is also not a film that provides the viewer with a disturbing feeling with a successful dark atmosphere. Director and writer Francesco Picone hardly shows any film- and story-technical contribution and lives unimaginatively on horror clichés. Dead Bride is a mediocre déjà vu experience. By the way, I readily admit that a lot of recent horror work doesn't excel in creativity, but that's no excuse for not making a serious effort to bring in something original.

And so Dead Bride is no more than a simple genre film without noteworthy striking elements. Dead Bride might be fun to watch if you've never seen a horror movie.

Ghost film with not only a low budget, but also a low level of talent. These kinds of movies are coming out more and more these days. Filmmakers who want to make a film and put something together quickly out of desperation. This time only from a director who already made about 6 projects before Dead Bride came out. The film is atmospheric here and there and the acting is not particularly sad for a change, otherwise it actually misses everything. Structurally empty, an incoherent course and too variable a tempo. In addition, everything is also very heavy, apparently the completely retarded concept is something that we as viewers have to take all too seriously.

Admittedly, compared to a lot of other junk within the same genre, Dead Bride isn't too bad, but it's still trash nonetheless.
