The charismatic TV presenter Alex Bergwall is the face of the successful program 'Gone Ghosting'. Alex is caught in a scandal when his paranormal discoveries are revealed to have been faked. Desperate for redemption, Alex and his team take on the ultimate challenge: to broadcast a ghost investigation online in the long-abandoned and infamous Raven Castle. There, the ghost hunters soon discover that they must face their fears if they are to survive the bloody horrors of Raven Castle.

An uncontrolled horror thriller with a digital twist. Director Oskar Mellander drags in all sorts of things to make Canceled as entertaining as possible, but forgets that a horror film like this benefits most from a tight suspense arc. With all the fuss and loud characters, that is actually quickly forgotten. More attention is paid to the humor than to the scares, and when things finally get wild, it isn't very impressive anymore. Fortunately, the acting is still decent and the house looks atmospheric, but you shouldn't watch this if you're expecting original twists or well-executed scares.
