"One Hell of a Fairytale"
Rex Coen has quite a bit of status in Idaho after serving time in prison. The reason for this was a robbery that went viral. Now free, he hopes for a quiet welcome back party with friends and family. But that hope is short-lived when he suddenly wakes up in a basement with a sawn-off leg.

Very fun! On paper, it doesn't look like much; yet another 'lost' American abroad (fucking Finland...) where he naturally runs into a crazy family. But still, Bloody Hell feels like a breath of fresh air, and Grieson never takes the easy way out. The dark comedic / cynical tone, excellently carried by an inspired performance from O'Toole, and the many striking visual tricks (the comedy is largely amplified & amplified in the editing) + strong running gags (like his imaginary self) give it a nice, distinctive look. Not everything is equally successful, but Grieson does dare to tinker with the formula... and that is valuable.

Nah, definitely failed in terms of horror; I just thought it was a bad 'black' comedy, so there was no tension or sense of horror, just a sporadic wry smile/grin, like, is this it?

Is this funny at all? This is really a movie for Prime. A lame, poorly acted B-movie that I finished watching, which I consider quite an achievement. And that isn't the movie's fault, but the subtitles on Prime are terrible.
And the acting isn't funny, but rather enough to make you cry... rubbish
