"An eclipse awakens an ancient monster whose gaze turns flesh into stone."
Archaeologist Harry and his partner Rudy are excavating in Libya. They come across an old work of art that they take with them to the United States. There, the hitherto presumed innocent museum piece wakes up from a long sleep. It turns out to be a mythical creature whose gaze can petrify people. The archaeologists, an investor and the police try to tame the monster.
