"Dead is the present tense"

Twin brothers Patrick and Carol Darling grapple with the mysterious disappearance of their friend, the intelligent and beautiful Wendy Hearst. They've just graduated high school when they come across Wendy's living corpse while driving in the countryside on the edge of their chic suburb. The boys bring the zombie to an empty house in hopes of somehow bringing her back to life. As the sweltering summer continues, Patrick and Carol must keep up appearances to their friends and family as they try to find a way to bring back the Wendy they once knew.
