Seventeen-year-old Mariah Mundi's world collapses when his parents suddenly disappear, leaving him alone with his brother Felix. When unknown perpetrators kidnap his young brother, he has no choice but to join forces with the strange adventurer Captain Charity in pursuit. The trail leads them from Victorian London to mysterious Prince Regent, a majestic hotel on a small island in the farthest corner of the Empire.
