Pippi Longstocking moves into the vacant villa Kakelbont. That's nicely arranged: nothing to do with anyone and plenty of time to tell her new friends Tommy and Annika, who live around the corner, extensively about father Longstocking. He is a sea captain and also king of Taka-Tukaland. Of course it remains to beware of Mrs. Prusselius, director of the Children's Bureau, who wants to give Pippi a proper upbringing.
