Justin Morgan Had a Horse plot

Vermont 1790. Teacher Murray is deeply in debt. The hard-hearted landowner Armstrong refuses to give him any further respite, especially since Murray owns a horse that is slender, but very strong and fast. He confiscates the animal and when horse race organizers from New York drop by, he takes on a challenge. But the horse only responds to orders from Murray.
