Juf Braaksel en de Magische Ring plot
Lotte and Thijs go to a nice school and have a sweet teacher, Miss Evi. But then the terrible teacher Brakel becomes director and she makes up all kinds of rules: no telephones, birthdays are no longer allowed to be celebrated and treats are strictly prohibited. So the class gives her a nickname: Miss Braaksel. They come up with a plan to get rid of her, while Lotte also has a secret that needs to be solved. Can Miss Evi's magic ring help with this?

Oh... What a terrible movie this is! Can't make much of it anymore. I can appreciate and appreciate children's films (no matter how well-behaved they are), but this film lives up to its name. Bad acting and Nicolette van Dam is a complete miscast. Why her? Why not a real old(er) woman? Oh, quickly forgotten!

The new headmistress, Miss Brakel [Nicolette van Dam], quickly turns the students against her with her self-importance and super-strict rules. Lotte [Lily Richardson] and Thijs [Flint de Man] want to teach Miss “Braaksel” a lesson. It helps that their beloved Miss Evi [Djamila] has a magic ring. Since the children cannot act and the script adds uninteresting subplots, this is only worth watching for Van Dam’s hilarious parody of a headmistress who doesn’t care about the children at all. Based on the book series by Carrie Slee, who has a cameo as an interviewer towards the end of the film. Received two weak sequels, starting with Miss Braaksel and the Genial Escape.
