Escape to Grizzly Mountain plot

When twelve-year-old Jimmy Dobson goes to the circus alone, he becomes best friends with the little brown bear Dudley who is used for a clown performance. Jimmy manages to free the bear and flees. Circus worker Charlie has told him that he can travel back to the year 1870 through a cave in Grizzly Mountain, but when Jimmy gets there, Dudley is left in a panic. Fortunately, Jimmy meets the brave Indian Tukayoo and Jeremiah who want to help him retrieve Dudley and release him into the wilderness. There are still a lot of hurdles to overcome before sunset or Jimmy can't get out of 1870.
