Der Tapfere Schulschwänzer plot

On a sunny day, Thomas from class 4a is on his way to school. But instead of going to classes, he roams the streets of Berlin. The school is soon forgotten when Thomas discovers a fire in an apartment building and notifies the fire brigade, who can save two small children. But to be honored for this achievement, he has to admit that he skipped school. Now he is faced with a choice: truant or hero?
