De Laatste Passagier plot

A boy from Beetsterzwaag (Friesland), who is going to emigrate to Australia with his parents, has to leave his Scottish terrier Kwikkie behind. One night, he hides with the dog in an abandoned church, where he finds stolen jewelry. As a reward, the owner of the jewelry will have the dog sent to you. On the day of departure, the dog manages to follow the family to the boat.
