Sinterklaas and his helpers are preparing to leave for the Netherlands by steamboat. When Danspiet secretly takes a parrot on board, things go terribly wrong. This cheerful bird will cause chaos on all fronts in no time. Bakpiet has his hands in his hair when the chocolate has melted, Cool Piet suffers from red bumps and Danspiet gets into an argument with her best friend. Ultimately, things go so wrong that the boat goes off course and gets stuck on an island. Will The Club of Sinterklaas still arrive in time for Christmas Eve?

A rating of less than 2 stars? With what expectations do people watch this film I wonder.

Writing an opinion was not in my planning. But this film does not deserve such a low score, so that is why I am taking up the digital pen anyway.

Last week I saw this movie with my 4 year old daughter (the target audience of this movie) and she loved it, but I was surprised too. Although the story is of course childish and full of unbelievable and predictable twists, the movie is skillfully made. Especially the songs and the choreography are well done.

Very nice for the target audience, and for me as a watching father quite entertaining. A professional production that is clearly underrated on this site.
