Come Away Home plot

Annie's vacation plans are completely shattered when she learns that her parents are going on a second honeymoon and Annie is being dumped with her grandfather. This grandfather lives in a ramshackle house on the coast where there is really nothing to do, he doesn't even have a television! Despite Grandpa's brave attempts to make overtures, things just don't seem to work out between the two. Annie even decides to sail back to New York in her grandfather's old fishing boat... but then the adventure really begins.
