Charley and the Angel plot
Store owner Charley Appleby lives only for the jingling music of his cash register bells. One day he is visited by his guardian angel Roy, a novice, who announces to Charley that his time on Earth is almost over. Finally Charley starts ringing another bell, because he suddenly realizes that something is wrong with his attitude to life. He begs Roy for more time so he has one more chance to make amends.
