A Christmas Miracle plot

Roz is preparing for the Community Center's Christmas Jubilee when she gets a phone call. The government wants to make way for a new commercial complex. They are cutting funding for several programs and moving the vote to after Christmas to speed up the process. Roz packs up the Christmas stuff and heads home. Dalton makes a big deal for the holidays. Now he wants to focus on his family. He overhears his coworker James on the phone with his supervisor. The water in James' apartment is broken and flooding. They won't be able to fix it until after the holidays. Dalton offers James to stay with his family, but James declines the invitation.
