Zlatne Godine plot

"Finding true, who to blame..."

Jakov, his brother Mislav and Jakov's girlfriend Suncana, were student leaders during the Croatian Spring of 1971. Jakov was able to escape abroad, while Mislav and Suncana stayed in Zagreb, believing that nothing bad could happen to them. But meanwhile, Mislav was arrested and Suncana was left alone. Twenty years later, Jakov returns from Australia in search of a new beginning. He stays with Mislav, who became a dentist after his release from prison and married a girl from a wealthy family. The brothers soon discover that the ghosts from their past have not yet been buried.
