Xing Xing Zai Deng Wo Men plot

Zhang Yinglong, who had worked only in Beijing, returns to his hometown to visit his family. He discovers that the environment in his hometown has deteriorated due to logging and coal mining. Once a place with abundant water and grass, it was now covered with yellow sand. Despite opposition from his family, he resigned as deputy director and sold his house to return to his hometown. After much hardship and perseverance, he has now become a "national role model worker," with green trees along the streets.
