Xiao Hai plot

The young Bao-li falls madly in love with the slightly older Jia-Jia. After Bao-li stands up for her in a violent quarrel at school, the two start a relationship. But this idyllic relationship quickly takes a different turn when it turns out that Jia-Jia is pregnant and the two are forced to grow up. Bao-li takes responsibility; he drops out of school and goes to work in a restaurant to take care of his new family. Despite working very hard, the young father still gets into trouble because his gambling-addicted mother gambles away all his earned money. To make matters worse, he finds out that Jia-Jia is having an affair. To win Jia-Jia back, Bao-li takes unprecedented risks.
