Words of War plot
"In a world silenced by fear, her truth was unstoppable."
It is the end of the 1990s when American-Russian Anna Politkovskaya, a journalist and human rights activist, is fighting for an independent voice in Russia. While she refuses to give up her reporting on the Second Chechen War for years, despite the danger to herself, she tries to expose corruption in Russia under the administration of Vladimir Putin. Politkovskaya, who faces numerous attempts at intimidation and assassination, gains international fame for her criticism of Russia and soon becomes a pillar of press freedom.
