Wo Andere Schweigen plot

The film shows ten days in the life of the communist politician and feminist Clara Zetkin. In August 1932 she traveled to Berlin to open the seat of the Reichstag as the oldest elected member. The journey is kept a secret to protect the now 75-year-old and almost blind Zetkin from unnecessary excitement. But it soon becomes known that she is on her way to Berlin. The Nazi propaganda openly threatens to kill her, but she is determined to continue her journey. In Berlin she goes to the summer house of the social-democratic translator Gustav Schröder. She finds friends who protect her and help her and she also finds like-minded people. And above all, in her opening speech to the Reichstag, she calls for vigilance on the danger of the ever-growing Nazi Party.
