In Oberstdorf, in the beautiful region of Walsertal, the world is still a good place to live. But the villagers' reaction to the arrival of a group of gypsies is anything but sincere. Only reluctantly are they allowed by the mayor to set up camp on the 'Galgen hump' and this only until their broken car is repaired. The brothers Hans and Michel are fascinated by the exotic gypsy Saffry and they try to win her over.
