Weer-bericht plot

Nijhoff's poem 'The Mother and the Woman' prompts a number of people to go to the banks of the Waal and have a picnic there within sight of the Zaltbommel bridge. A woman and a man argue about the dishes. A man is vacuuming. Three friends step more or less in transvestism on the sidewalk of a street. A girl talks about her dreams. And a number of people cross a meadow that seems to have no end.
