"A buncha folks hangin their hats on the last hook of a whole lotta hope."

Cotton, a ten-year-old girl, contacts her sister Sunny in Hollywood. She asks Sunny to return home because their mother is dying. It could be the last time the family is complete. Sunny is deeply concerned about Cotton and tries to be there for her with a friend, Ben.
