Vivere plot
The Attore family lives in a suburb of Rome. Father Luca is a freelance journalist struggling to get his work published and mother Susi is a former ballerina who now teaches dance. Together, however, they don't earn enough to care for their imaginative six-year-old daughter Lucilla, who suffers from severe bronchial asthma. Therefore, they are helped financially by Pierpaolo, Luca's 17-year-old son from a previous relationship who lives with his mother and grandfather, an important lawyer. When Mary Ann, a Catholic art student from Ireland, is hired as an au pair for Lucilla, she becomes deeply involved with the family.
