A cruel satire on the publishing world about how a naive writer, who wins an award for his work, becomes a formidable career fighter. In reality, however, he got that award because the first candidate signed a contract with the competitors at the last minute. The publisher is cruel, the writer behaves like a ridiculous and hateful failure and is unable to find inspiration for a second novel.
