Klava and Seryozha (Sergey) have known each other since kindergarten. He is one of the smartest kids in school and has always been in love with her. But he sees her more as a pretty doll than an intelligent person. When they are teenagers, Klava rejects his love, because she knows that he only likes her appearance. She chooses Lavrik; another smart kid at school, who does treat her like a person. Seryoszha is completely upset and writes a suicide note to arouse the attention and sympathy of Klava and those around him. But is he really capable of committing suicide?
