Utsukushii Natsu Kirishima plot

Japan in the painful aftermath of WWII. 15-year-old Yasuo feels guilty about being alive when many of his classmates are no longer alive. He witnessed the death of his best friend who was killed during a bombing raid. The memory hurts inside. Others around him also carry a heavy burden. Meanwhile, a secret meeting takes place between a widow and a wounded soldier, a beautiful woman bids farewell to her great love, and a maid marries a veteran who comes home without his leg. So many lives, so many loves. Yasuo is slowly but surely losing his self-control.
