Unwed Mother plot
"Over twenty thousand girls every year live this bitter story!"
Country girl Betty Miller falls in love with the smooth talker, but idler, Don Bigelow. Don manages to borrow money checks from Betty and promises to pay her back this borrowed money as soon as possible, once he is rich from an expected inheritance. He also promises to marry Betty when he can dispose of his inheritance. When Betty turns out to be pregnant, she learns more about Don's true nature, what others already knew about him. Betty decides to give her child to "Foster Parents", but starts to have doubts and starts looking for her child's adoptive parents.
