Until Proven Innocent plot

In 1992, David Dougherty is found guilty of and imprisoned for the kidnapping and rape of his 11-year-old girl next door. It took two processes; twice an appeal to the Supreme Court, a petition to the Governor General and four years, six months and one week in prison before David finally regained his freedom and was pardoned for the crime he never committed. But it wouldn't have happened without the tireless efforts of three people; a journalist, lawyer and scientist who risk their own personal and professional lives to prove that David Dougherty is innocent.
