In 1923, Germany was ravaged by skyrocketing inflation, unemployment and the tangible rise of National Socialism. For Professor Abel (Martin Held) a reason to (dis)qualify the world to 'chaos' and to shift his attention to his adorable youngest daughter Lorchen (Sophie Seitz). However, a student confronts Abel with some earlier writings in which he flirted with nationalism.
