Une Femme dans la Tourmente plot

Michèle Rouannet is appointed consul of France in Porto Natale, where she arrives accompanied by her sixteen-year-old daughter Marie. She soon realizes that the elections that will soon be called are just a sham to support the dictatorial regime. Her daughter, not impervious to the charms of Vincent Mallet's adopted son, cultural counselor of the consulate, and the young man begin to conspire against the regime.
