Umi wo Kakeru plot
"The sea gives, and takes away."
An Indonesian seaside city has been devastated by war and a tsunami. Working to recover from the disaster, Atsuko (Mayu Tsuruta) and her son Takashi (Taiga) find a man on the shore. The man speaks very little Japanese and Indonesian. They take care of him and call him Rau, which means the sea in Indonesian. Soon, Rau is connected to many miraculous things.
