Tropical Manila plot
"No matter how difficult, life must go on."
The story is set against the background of a poor neighborhood in Manila. At the center are a father and his young son, who are preparing for a major and violent conflict. The father is a Korean who fled his country almost 15 years ago after committing a murder. Now the time of statute of limitations of the crime is approaching and he is preparing to leave Manila. He longs to see his old mother again. His Filipino wife begs him to take their son to Korea. The conflict in the family deepens when the father refuses. He wants to leave the son behind. The confrontation between father and son gets completely out of hand.
