Torso: The Evelyn Dick Story plot

Hamilton, March 1946. Two boys discover the dismembered body of the tram conductor John Dick. John's wife, the beautiful and young Evelyn, is immediately the first prime suspect. The gruesome murder and sex drive of Evelyn - who admits to having sex with 150 of Hamilton's most important men - makes the trial the hottest topic in town. Evelyn is doomed to hang, but attorney JJ Robinette can delay judgment until Evelyn is also charged with the murder of her newborn son. Robinette expects Evelyn to be released from the background of her disturbed family, but she refuses to testify against her parents...
