The Young and the Guilty plot

"The eighth deadly sin is seeing evil that isn't there..." is what schoolboy Eddie Marshall believes. He is the son of an ambitious mother who believes she is married below her means and of a father who is labeled stupid and selfish by his nagging wife. Eddie always found peace and satisfaction in his studies. And then at school he meets Sue, a shy, dreamy fellow student. The two fall madly in love with each other. Every day they write long, poetic letters, but when Sue's father finds them and reads them, he immediately draws the wrong conclusion.
