The Work and the Glory III: A House Divided plot

A blessed man, Joshua Steed returns to Missouri with his beautiful wife. He soon finds himself entangled in a web of rumours, deception and betrayal, which threatens to tear his family apart. In Kirtland, meanwhile, the question is whether the Prophet Joseph Smith has the divine gift he thinks he has, Joshua becomes the leader of an army set up to tackle the Mormon problem. Joshua thus seems to be the only one left who can save his family from the gathered crowd.
