The Women Men Marry plot

Journalist Bill Raeburn teams up with Jane Carson. Jane was his girlfriend before he married Claire. After a year, Bill is still madly in love with Claire. But Claire wants to get out of the marriage and has an affair with Walter Wiley, Bill's employer. Wiley gives Bill a major assignment so he can go out with Claire. However, Bill learns about a story Wiley previously rejected. Wiley then sends Bill and Jane to the "Brother Nameless" cult to spend more time with Claire. Bill finds out that this cult is a hoax, but he still doesn't see what's really going on.
