"The greatest romance of Broadway's reckless life ever filmed!"

In a jealous rage, dancer Anna Janssen shoots her partner Alastair de Vries in a café when she catches him with a chorus girl. On their flight to Tahiti, she is followed by Detective Thomas McCarthy, who arrests her. On the return journey, they are stranded on a deserted island. After two years together, they acknowledge their love and exchange marriage vows, but when a ship is sighted, Anna, against his wishes, insists on returning to stand trial.
