The Whole of the Moon plot

A young top athlete of good family, who has a glittering career ahead of him, is told during a routine examination that he has bone cancer. Due to the burdensome chemotherapy, the boy is very upset and is abandoned by his friends. When he befriends another boy with cancer, he regains his zest for life.
