The Whisperers plot
mrs. Ross is an elderly, lonely lady who imagines all kinds of creatures in her paranoid fantasy. She tells the creatures ('whisperers') that she's on to them and informs the police, who then laugh at her behind her back. Besides imagining creatures, she also has the idea that she is the heiress of a noble family. Her entire daily routine is turned upside down when her criminal son comes home.
