The Wandering Jew plot

Matathias passes Jesus Christ as he is taken to Calvary to be crucified. He cares little about leading Christ and he curses Matathias to eternal life on earth. Matathias cannot die and does not age visibly. Because of this, he has to move from community to community to take on a new identity so that no one notices that he is not getting older.
