The Stray plot
"One dog can change everything."
A stray dog is taken in by the Davis family. They call him "Pluto". The animal will have a great influence on the people who have taken care of him. He manages to save a toddler, provides comfort and companionship to the nine-year-old son, brings the spouses closer together and mends the broken relationship between father and son. He becomes a real guardian angel and sometimes comes to the rescue in the most unlikely places. One day, the father takes his son, his son's dog, and two of his son's friends for a hike in the Colorado mountains. However, their tent is struck by lightning.
