The Staircase Murders plot
Writing for the New York Times, Michael Peterson has everything his heart desires: a sweet wife, children and a successful career. However, his life takes a nasty turn when his wife falls deadly down the stairs. Investigators question Michael's innocence. His children do everything they can to prove his innocence, but his stepdaughter Caitlin turns on him and publicly declares that he is the murderer.
