The Song of Cotton plot

Despite having no experience in it, Mianhua takes a full-time job as a nurse. Her client is a grumpy boxer who suffers from Alzheimer's. The man has a son who doesn't look after him, and a daughter. The daughter has a problem with Mianhua, because she believes that nurses cannot be trusted. A warm bond develops between Mianhua and the old man. Meanwhile, Mianhua makes a discovery.
