The Shadow of Rosalie Byrnes plot

"Story of sister against sister in a struggle for happiness."

Leontine Maddern is a selfish actress, while her twin sister Leona is a kind and devoted performer. Through a scandal, Leona takes the name Rosalie Byrnes. She falls in love with Lieutenant Gerald Cromwell. The two get married, but after the wedding he is sent abroad. His family, who would have preferred to see Gerald marry a rich person, approaches Leontine and mistakenly mistakes her for Rosalie.
