The Sex Symbol plot

Naive Kelly Williams (Connie Stevens) sleeps with everyone to become a star. However, she is dissatisfied with her status as a sex symbol because she wants to become a serious actress. Not everything is going well in her love life. She has unhappy loves and marriages with the likes of Grant O'Neal (Don Murray) and Calvin Bernard (James Olson). In the meantime, she is chased by the aggressive journalist Agatha Murphy (Shelley Winters). Based on the life of Marilyn Monroe.
