The Sailor from Gibraltar plot
Alan (Ian Bannen) has just dumped his girlfriend Sheila (Vanessa Redgrave) and is now totally intrigued by Sheila, a beautiful, mysterious widow he has met. Sheila is looking for a sailor she knew years ago. Alan leaves for Greece with Sheila to visit the sailor. In their search, they come across Louis de Mozambique (Orson Welles), who claims that the sailor never existed except in Sheila's mind.
